Seriously though, the experts don't really make a lot of sense on their predictions here. They say it's going to be a war or probably the best series in the first round, but everyone to a man are taking the Pens. If it's going to be a war and very even etc.. shouldn't the series be basically a coin flip as to who wins?

Seriously though, the experts don't really make a lot of sense on their predictions here. They say it's going to be a war or probably the best series in the first round, but everyone to a man are taking the Pens. If you call it a coin flip and don't choose who you think is going to win, then your not making a prediction. Making a prediction is picking a winner. Even if you think it's going to be a tight Series.

I'd love to see us take game one to ensure a split going home.. A victory tonight and all those taking heads will be like wow.. this isn't a foregone conclusion that the Pens move on. I expect a parade to the penalty box every time someone touches Malkin or Crosby. THe strategy has to be, just get over it don't argue kill em off and find a way to win.

I think among the "experts" Pittsburgh is certainly the more popular pick, but I think fans are pretty split. Should be a fun one to watch either way.

It's expected that the Pens are going to be the favorite. The Flyers are a young unproven team. The Pens have Malkin and Crosby and have Cup winning veterans.

Of course the players will decide the outcome of the series captain obvious, but it is sad how much leeway those two dirty crybabies get from the refs. I rarely agree with anything that is spewed from the mouths of Milbury or Torts, but they were pretty close to the mark with their comments on 87 and 71.

There will always be a large contingent of fans who feel this way about the refs. Nothing new.

It's way overblown. And the majority of it is hype. A superstar player like Crosby is going to get some calls go his way. It's been that way in sports for a long time. But it's highly exaggerated over what actually happens.
